We source our Cape to Cape Shiraz from a number of vineyards in the South West, with the parcels of fruit fermented separately with frequent pumping over to maximise the colour and flavour extracted from the skins. After pressing out, the Shiraz goes to barrel for maturation for at least 12 months before the blend is put together. We are producing an approachable, well flavoured wine and there is minimal filtration ahead of bottling.
A deep dark crimson red with purple hues.
Dense, dark plum fruit aromas with sweet blackberries and a light spiciness.
Beautifully weighted with the lovely rich and spicy berry fruit flavours balanced by the gently drying tannins. The ripe and juicy dark fruit flavours are enhanced by the light, complexing oak characters picked up during maturation.
Grilled meat, lamb and spicy dish.
Beautiful drinking now and over the next 6 years or so.
