Cabernet Merlot

History

85% Cabernet, 15% Merlot. This Cabernet Merlot has ripe berry and blackcurrant fruit flavours beautifully balanced by Frenck oak characters and moderate tannins.

After closely monitoring ripening, Cabernet and Merlot grapes were harvested at optimum flavour ripeness.

Color

A beautiful crimson red.

Bouquet

Aromatic dark berry fruits with dense plum fruit aromas and attractive smoky oak characters.

Palate

Has delicious fresh berry fruit flavours of blackberry & mulberry; the good depth of these fruit flavours are complemented by the slightly ‘chewy’ and lightly drying tannins and gentle acidity which combine to give our Cabernet Merlot it’s good length of flavour.

Food suggestions

Lamb and pigeon or a mushroom risotto.
